The 1st “Climate Change Global Business Summit on Africa” will take place on 19-20 March 2024 in Nairobi.
Conceived in the aftermath of the Africa Climate Summit chaired by President Ruto in September 2023, the event will be an annual action-oriented international business platform built for Africa and based in Africa.
It will bring together 200 CEOs, economists, and influential personalities to raise global attention on the contribution that the private sector can provide in addressing the most pressing challenges caused by climate change in Africa.
If, on the one hand, climate change is having severe impacts on all countries and continents, the impacts on Africa are considerably higher and more disruptive than in other regions. Thus, the need to promote closer collaboration and foster dialogue between the public and private sectors to effectively address these challenges.
