The Teachers Service Commission, TSC, has come up with new training and recruitment requirements for teachers under the Competency-based Curriculum, CBC. Teachers will now have to train in three teaching subjects, take longer training, and teach practice sessions.
The Kenya National Examinations Council announced that it will train primary school teachers for marking the upcoming Grade six national assessment tests that will be done in December this year.
These categories of teachers will be taken through a training program on how to administer, mark, and award scores for the over one million learners who will sit for the above examinations.
