East African Portland Cement was the top gainer at the Nairobi Security Exchange on Tuesday having gained 9.90 percent at the price of 27.75 shillings per share.
HF Group was the second gainer at the bourse with 8.21 percent at the price of 10.55 shillings per share while Barclays Bank, Mumias Sugar Company, and Standard Group gained 6.52, 6.25 and 5.11 percent respectively at a price of 9.80, 0.85 and 36.00 shillings per share respectively.
Among the top losers of the day, Express carried the day with 9.09 percent at the price of 3.00 shillings per share followed by Flame Tree Group with a loss of 7.08 percent at the price of 5.25 shillings per share. Other top losers were Nairobi Business Venture, Sasini Tea and Coffee, and Home Africa who lost 6.67, 6.42, and 5.88 percent respectively.
On the top movers’ table, Safaricom took the lead after registering a volume of 8.92 million shares with a market capital of 881.44 billion followed by KenolKobil with a volume of 2.88 million with a market capital of 18.54 billion. Other movers were Home Afrika, ARM Cement, and Mumias Sugar Company with 2.12, 1.64, and 1.44 million shares in volumes respectively.
