The government of India has announced 48 scholarship programs for Kenyan students. The students must be willing to study either as undergraduates, postgraduates, and Ph.D. for the 2023 – 2024 academic year. The Scholarships are available under the African Scholarships Scheme through the Indian Council for Cultural Relations.
The application is 100 percent online through the Indian Council for Cultural Relations A2A Scholarship Portal from February 20, 2023, to April 30, 2023. The beauty is one can apply to join up to five universities to increase their chances of being picked.
Those who want to pursue a Ph.D. will be required to upload a synopsis of the research. Those applying must be between the age of 18 and 30 years for both undergraduate and postgraduate programs and 45 years for PH.D.
The first test for the interested students is a 500-word essay in English to ascertain their proficiency. Once the admission is successful and confirmed by a relevant university in India, the High Commission of India in Kenya will decide on the award of the scholarship to the successful applicants.
