With Spiro Kenya now, a rider does not have to worry about the charging duration, or their battery dying on them in the middle of the journey because the company has “Battery-Swapping Stations” across major towns in Kenya such as Nairobi and Mombasa.

Battery-Swapping Stations are specially designated areas where riders go to swap their batteries with fully-charged ones, eliminating the wastage of time that might have resulted if the rider were to charge the depleted battery. Battery-swapping stations have helped to boost the electric boda boda business across the country. The popularity of electric motorbikes in Kenya continues to grow as Kenyans rush to have a piece of the silence and the convenience that comes with it.
The news that the bikes now cover long distances on a single charge has come as a huge relief to thousands of electric motorbike users and those who were thinking of purchasing the same. Spiro is planning to manufacture at least 50,000 electric motorbikes for the Kenyan market this year.
At the same time, Spiro Kenya announced that it has a new Sharia-Compliant product that will see Kenyans financed to have electric motorbikes without paying interest. This is the first-ever Sharia-compliant offering within the electric cars sector.
