Automobile company, Toyota Kenya has unveiled the winners of the 13th edition of the Toyota Dream Car Art Contest.
The nine children aged 15 years and below were chosen after a 3-month long process of shortlisting finalists from close to 400 entries in 3 different categories from across the country.
Some of the winners include Aayushi Harshad Varsani who emerged top in the Under-15 years’ category, Priyanka Pratin Shah – the winner in the Under-7 years’ category, and Tanya Dip Haria, the second runners-up in the Under-13 years’ category.
The Toyota Dream Car Art Contest is a global competition held to encourage and inspire creativity in children as they imagine the future of mobility.
Toyota invites children from around the world to share ideas about the future of mobility by drawing their dream car. Winners of the Toyota Dream Car Art Contest in participating countries worldwide are chosen from three age categories (under 8 years old; 8-11 years old; and 12-15 years old), with judging based on three criteria: artistry, uniqueness, and execution of the concept. The first international contest was held in 2004 by Toyota Motor Corporation in Japan.
Paras Paras Ketan Limbad, the second runners-up in the Under-7 years’ category drew a car dubbed “Swima” that would allow him to travel in style in a hot pool car.
Harshil Kirit Gudhka, the second runners-up in the Under-15 years’ category drew a car dubbed the ‘’Sizzler’’ that uses energy from solar and electric power with zero emissions.
Aayushi Harshad Varsani, the Under-15 years’ category winner who drew a car dubbed ‘’Toyota Vision’’, which is a Toyota vision car with virtual reality technology for the blind and sighted to give them vision into the futuristic world, receives her award from Toyota Kenya’s Anne Wanyeki.
The first runners-up in the Under-7 years’ category, Aron Varma drew the Toyota Sport FF9 RC which he envisioned as Toyota’s ‘Fast and Furious 9’ racing car

Priyanka Pratin Shah, winner in the Under-7 years’ category drew the Bouncing Peeping Toyota Dream Car. The concept was a dream car that could be driven on the sea and on land.
